LXQt 2.3 expands Wayland support, enhances ScreenGrab & PCManFM-Qt, and refreshes the wiki

LXQt 2.3 introduces enhanced Wayland support and new features aimed at improving usability for users of this lightweight Qt-based desktop environment. The LXQt Panel now enables its desktop switcher for both Labwc and niri compositors, and features a dedicated backend for the Wayfire compositor. Alongside these improvements, the Custom Command plugin in the panel has become more flexible, allowing seamless use across both Wayland and X11 sessions.

While these changes bolster compatibility, further integration comes from including lxqt-qdbus in lxqt-wayland-session, which streamlines qdbus command usage with any Wayland compositor. For those who rely on screen capture tools, ScreenGrab has refined the border color of its selection rectangle on X11, while building on earlier support for Wayland compositors using the wlr screencopy protocol.

Users of PCManFM-Qt benefit from the addition of a “Safely Remove” function in the side-pane context menu when available. They can also choose to disable file tooltips on the desktop for a cleaner workflow. Rounding out this update, LXQt's documentation receives a visual and functional boost with a new wiki, offering improved search and navigation.
