Guilded to shut down on December 19, 2025 as focus shifts to Roblox Communities

Roblox has announced that Guilded, the group chat platform designed for gaming communities, will discontinue service on December 19, 2025. On that date, access to the website, desktop, and mobile apps will cease, and all platform content will become inaccessible. This decision accompanies a shift in strategy: Roblox now intends to focus exclusively on developing Roblox Communities instead of supporting two separate products.

Ahead of the shutdown, Guilded users can continue to operate as usual but are encouraged to migrate their communities to Roblox. For those already using Roblox Communities, planned support for server announcements aims to help ease this transition. Users who prefer not to switch to Roblox are advised to consider alternatives, such as Discord or TeamSpeak.

In preparation for closure, Guilded has made available a content export tool, so server owners can save message histories. Advanced users may access their server's data via the Bot API until the service cuts off. Meanwhile, new server subscription sign-ups will close next week. Current subscriptions will not renew after mid-November, preventing any additional charges beyond that point.
