Baserow 2.0 launches with Kuma AI assistant, automations builder, 2FA and workspace search
Baserow 2.0 arrives as the latest release of this open-source no-code platform for building databases and applications. This update introduces Kuma, an AI assistant designed to help users create databases, write formulas, and build automations through plain language chat prompts.
In addition, the release features a new automations' builder. This tool allows users to set up no-code workflows that react to changes in data, connecting triggers, actions, formulas, and conditions for streamlined task management. Building on automation improvements, users can now combine automations and AI actions to develop custom agents capable of summarizing, classifying, or generating content automatically.
Baserow 2.0 includes date dependencies to synchronize related tasks and timelines, reducing manual coordination. Security has also been strengthened with the integration of two-factor authentication (2FA), which provides an extra protection layer for accounts. Usability advances include workspace-level search, enabling comprehensive searchability across all databases, tables, and rows.
Finally, AI fields have received functional updates: they now support automatic regeneration when referenced fields change, offer advanced input options, and allow users to generate all AI-driven values in bulk with a single command.
