Podman Desktop 1.22 introduces an Explore Features section on the dashboard, streamlining onboarding tasks such as container creation and extension browsing. Users on macOS and Windows can now switch Podman machines between rootless and rootful modes for easier configuration. The update also allows direct application of Kubernetes YAML files without requiring local file creation, and an ARM64 installer is available for Windows.
