Media player Haruna 1.5 improves playlist management, mouse settings and playback controls

Haruna 1.5 has arrived, bringing a series of notable improvements to this open source video player built with libmpv. The release focuses heavily on the playlist experience, with several enhancements designed to streamline user workflows. Users can now display multiple playlists using tabs, making it easier to manage different media collections within the same session. There are new options to sort and filter playlists, and playlists themselves can be reordered quickly using drag and drop functionality. Adding new files and folders to playlists has also been simplified — now it is possible by simply dragging and dropping them directly.

Following these playlist changes, playback control has become more flexible. The new update allows users to select what happens when a file finishes: they can choose to repeat the playlist, repeat a single file, stop after the last file, stop after the current file, or play a random item.

Alongside these core updates, mouse controls have been improved. Users can now use mouse button and modifier key combinations and take advantage of the mouse forward and back buttons for navigation. Haruna 1.5 also introduces further enhancements and address various bug fixes for improved stability and usability.
