Traefik Proxy 3.3 has been released with enhanced observability and documentation

Traefik has announced the release of version 3.3 of its cloud-native application proxy, following two months of development and two release candidates. This update emphasizes improvements in observability and documentation. Building on the OpenTelemetry integration from version 3.0, Traefik Proxy 3.3 introduces experimental support for logs and access logs, pending finalization of the underlying library.

Previously, observability features in Traefik Proxy could only be enabled globally, affecting all routes. Version 3.3 introduces a more granular control mechanism, allowing users to define default behaviors and selectively enable or disable tracing, metrics, or access logs per router.

The release also enhances reference documentation with new guidelines and adds options for controlling ACME (Let’s Encrypt) propagation checks. Additionally, it supports configuration dumps from the API endpoint to facilitate troubleshooting, and includes other enhancements and bug fixes to improve stability and usability.
