Threads introduces post scheduling, a new “markup” feature, and enhanced post metrics

Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, has introduced several updates to Threads aimed at enhancing user experience on the platform. Users now have the ability to create and schedule posts for future publication, with the option to schedule multiple posts per day up to 75 days in advance. However, scheduling replies is not supported. To access this feature, users need to create a post, tap the three-dot menu in the top-left corner, and select Schedule. Scheduled posts can then be managed from the drafts' folder.

Additionally, Threads is rolling out a feature allowing users to markup posts they are resharing. This functionality, initially available in select countries, enables users to draw, highlight, or add arrows to existing posts. The feature should also be available in more countries in the near future.

The update also includes enhanced analytics capabilities within the Insights dashboard. Users can now view metrics for individual posts, tracking trends such as views, follower count, geographic demographics, and interaction types over specific time periods. These updates aim to provide users with greater control and insight into their social media presence on Threads.
