openSUSE Tumbleweed's latest update brings Linux kernel 6.13, GIMP 3.0 RC2, and much more
openSUSE has rolled out updates and enhancements to its rolling release Linux distribution, Tumbleweed. This update makes openSUSE Tumbleweed one of the first Linux distributions to adopt the Linux 6.13 kernel. Notable updates include the introduction of GIMP's second release candidate for version 3.0 and libvirt 11.0.0, which enhances virtualization performance, stability, and flexibility.
The update also features KDE Gear 24.12.1, which improves app usability, and KDE Plasma 6.2.5, which adds stability to the desktop environment. Additional software updates include Rsync 3.4.1, libcdio 2.2.0, libxml2 2.13.5, and Amarok 3.2.1 & 3.2.2. Other updates encompass btrfs-progs 6.12, systemd 257.2, Mesa 24.3.3, HarfBuzz 10.2.0, Coreutils 9.6, PHP 8.3.16, and Flatpak 1.16.0.
