Blackmagic Camera 1.3 adds timecode sync and higher FPS recording for some Pixel phones

Blackmagic has announced the release of version 1.3 of its Android camera app, Blackmagic Camera. This update introduces support for recording timecode with clips, facilitating quick synchronization of video and audio in post-production and enabling multi-cam edits with timecode sync.

The update also includes anamorphic lens de-squeeze functionality, lens correction settings, and support for off-speed and time-lapse recording. Additionally, users with Pixel 6, 7, 8, and 9 phones can now record at higher frame rates, including 120fps and 240fps at 720p, and 120fps at 1080p.

Furthermore, the app now supports Xiaomi 13T, Samsung Flip 5/6, and Fold 5/6 phones. Blackmagic Camera is available for free download from Google Play.
