Firefox is introducing an exciting automatic Picture-in-Picture mode for background tabs
Mozilla Firefox has introduced a new experimental Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature in its Firefox Nightly build. This feature automatically activates PiP mode for any playing video when the associated tab is moved to the background. Users can enable this feature via the about:settings#experimental page.
Once enabled, PiP mode will trigger whenever a tab switch occurs while a video is playing, and it will end automatically when you return to the tab with the video. Firefox has supported PiP functionality since 2019, and Mozilla has been continuously refining this feature since then. This experimental PiP mode will also be available in the upcoming regular Firefox version 130.

Sounds annoying as hell. As it is, making sure PiP is disabled is one of the first things I do when I setup a browser that has it.
IDK, the feature is pretty questionable if you ask me. With this multitasking you'll probably end up having done none of the things properly. I'm personally still waiting for those native vertical tabs in Firefox. No idea why it's taking so much time to ship it; it's already can be achieved with Sidetabs, the experience just needs some polishing.
