Calibre 7.17 brings paper edition page numbers, enhanced text selection, and more

Calibre has released version 7.17 of its e-book management software, introducing several new features and improvements. The update brings support for displaying paper edition page numbers in the e-book viewer. Users can now jump to specific paper edition pages via the Go to button and optionally display the current paper edition page number in the header or footer.

Additionally, text selection enhancements allow users to change the indentation of all lines within the selection using Tab and Shift+Tab. News recipes have been updated to optionally use browser engines based on either Qt or Chromium network stacks instead of mechanize.

Another notable improvement is that sending emails to Kindles no longer converts filenames to English letters, as Amazon's email servers now support non-English filenames. Lastly, the tooltip now displays the full cell contents in the Quickview.
