Tails 6.5 released with enhanced security, faster setup, and updated Tor Browser

Tails, the portable operating system designed to protect users against surveillance and censorship, has released its latest version, 6.5. This update addresses several critical issues, including the frequent failure of preparation for first use and the creation of Persistent Storage. Additionally, the Tor Browser now respects the user-selected language.

The update also brings the Tor Browser to version 13.5.1, featuring improved letterboxing, and upgrades the underlying Debian system to version 12.6. Users will also benefit from a 30-second faster installation process with Tails Cloner and improved connectivity via mobile broadband, LTE, and PPPoE DSL.
