Linguist Translate releases privacy-focused update with major changes

Linguist Translate has launched a new major version 6.0.0 of its browser addon, designed for privacy-focused translation. The update includes support for Addon Manifest v3 for Chromium browsers, which however, renders it incompatible with Windows 7 and Chrome 109 or older. Users can now employ custom translators (such as ChatGPT, LibreTranslate, etc.) in an isolated context for enhanced security, disable translation history, and benefit from various minor bug fixes.
