Google Calendar enhances appointment scheduling with custom recurrence and guest options
In light of the recent announcement that the appointment slots feature in Google Calendar will be replaced by appointment schedules in July 2024, Google is rolling out new enhancements to the appointment schedules feature.
One of the notable updates is the introduction of custom weekly recurrence options, allowing users to set flexible schedules such as bi-weekly appointments. Additionally, bookers and co-hosts now have the capability to add other guests or rooms to booked events, provided the “Guests can invite others” option is enabled during the setup or editing of the schedule.
Furthermore, the appointment schedule creator can now include Google Groups as co-hosts during the setup process, simplifying the coordination of appointments with multiple participants. These updates aim to enhance the overall functionality and user experience of appointment scheduling in Google Calendar.
