Apple unveils iOS 18 beta 3 with dark mode icons, enhanced Photos app, and improved RCS
Apple has just released the third developer beta of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, bringing a host of enhancements and tweaks. Notably, this beta introduces dark mode icons for several third-party apps, including Facebook, Telegram, Signal, YouTube, and many more.
A new Select button in the Photos interface simplifies the process of choosing multiple images. In Messages, the interface for emoji, Memoji, and stickers has been unified, allowing users to navigate using small icons at the bottom of the display. Additional updates include dynamic wallpapers, a revamped flashlight interface, a new password manager app, and the ability to lock and hide specific apps. Improved RCS support in Messages, an updated control center, and a new game mode are also part of this release.
Hints of upcoming AI features, referred to as Apple Intelligence, have been found in the code, suggesting future enhancements. Apple plans to continue refining iOS 18 over the coming months before its official launch.
