Raycast 1.76 brings dynamic placeholders in quicklinks, improved AI chat presets, and more
Raycast, the robust Mac utility designed for power users, has launched its latest version 1.76, bringing a variety of new features and improvements to boost productivity and user experience.
In this update, quicklinks now support dynamic placeholders, enabling users to utilize the same placeholders in quicklinks as in snippets and AI commands. Additionally, modifiers have been introduced, allowing users to decide whether an argument will be percent-encoded. AI Chat Presets are now accessible in the root search, allowing for quick opening of new chats based on presets and the ability to assign hotkeys or aliases to frequently used ones. Enhanced keyboard navigation for AI Chat functionality highlights toolbar elements, and new chats created via presets display the preset name and icon in the status bar, with options for custom icons.
Further improvements include the Quick Look action for AI image generation, which now directly displays images without a submenu, and double-clicking an image also invokes Quick Look. Root Search has been refined to improve matching logic, preventing the calculator from being triggered by queries like “2fa”. Version 1.76 also comes with several minor enhancements and bug fixes, reinforcing Raycast's value for Mac power users.
