Proton expands password manager Proton Pass to macOS, Linux, and Safari

Privacy-centric company Proton has expanded its password manager, Proton Pass, to macOS and Linux, along with a companion app for the Safari web browser. Previously available on Android, iOS, Chrome, and Chromium-based browsers like Brave and Microsoft Edge, as well as on ChromeOS and Windows, Proton Pass now supports all major platforms.

The Linux version is compatible with Debian and Red Hat-based distributions, including Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, and CentOS. Proton Pass syncs logins across multiple browsers and devices, ensuring consistent access. All Proton Pass apps and browser extensions are universally accessible, with offline mode available through a paid plan. Proton Pass for macOS, Linux, and Safari is available for download as of now.
