Proton 9.0-2 released with more playable games and improved controller compatibility

Proton, Valve's compatibility tool for Steam Play, has released version 9.0-2, bringing significant enhancements. This update introduces full support for games such as Alpha League, Battlezone Gold Edition in VR mode, Black Desert Online, FreestyleFootball R, Helldivers 2, Hero's Land, Iragon, SimCity 3000 Unlimited, and Warlords Battlecry III, which were previously accessible only via Proton Experimental.

Moreover, Proton 9.0-2 enhances controller support through Xalia for several titles, including Clustertruck, Fallout 3 (partial support only), Fallout 4, Mugsters, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, and Tomb Raider: Legend.

This update also optimizes compatibility for games like Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and Command & Conquer and The Covert Operations by limiting the number of CPU cores they recognize, improving playability on high core count systems. Alongside these features, the release includes various improvements and numerous bug fixes, further refining the gaming experience.
