DevToys 2.0 released with macOS & Linux support, extensions, and command-line integration

DevToys has launched its version 2.0 Preview, marking a significant update after a year of development. The app, known for assisting developers with various daily tasks, has been completely rewritten to support cross-platform functionality. Now available on Windows, macOS, and Linux, DevToys aims to be more accessible to a wider range of developers.

A key feature of DevToys 2.0 is the introduction of extensions, allowing users to develop and add new tools and features. The release includes an SDK that simplifies extension development, requiring no knowledge of XAML. The first extension available is a PNG compressor tool capable of reducing PNG image sizes by up to 80%.

Additionally, DevToys 2.0 now includes a command-line app, enabling users to operate DevToys from the terminal. This feature is particularly useful for integrating DevToys into CI/CD pipelines or environments without a graphical user interface. The update also brings numerous enhancements and bug fixes, further improving the app's functionality and user experience.
