LXQt project releases version 2.0 of terminal emulator QTerminal, now ported to Qt6
The LXQt project, known for its lightweight desktop environment for Linux and BSD, has announced the release of version 2.0 of its QT-based terminal emulator, QTerminal. This latest iteration of QTerminal marks a major update, as it has been ported to Qt6, the latest version of the cross-platform application framework.
LXQt, a Qt port of LXDE, is responsible for the development and maintenance of several desktop applications, including a PCManFM-based file manager, an image viewer, a file archiver utility, a process viewer, a screenshot recorder, and a terminal emulator.
The new release of QTerminal comes with various enhancements. It features the initialization of some variables and members in constructors, it addresses and fixes various bugs, enhancing the overall stability and performance, and the code has been cleaned up, ensuring efficient and streamlined stability and performance.
