HWiNFO 8.0 released with enhanced hardware monitoring, improved features, and bug fixes

HWiNFO, the comprehensive hardware analysis, monitoring, and reporting software for Windows, has launched its version 8.0, introducing several new features and enhancements. The update includes a fully integrated On-Screen Display (OSD), amplified sensor monitoring on ASUS NUC series and ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PRO WIFI, and improved health monitoring for certain NVMe drives linked via Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST).

The HWiNFO Installer has migrated to Unicode in the new version, enhancing its multi-language support. However, it now exclusively includes HWiNFO64, necessitating Windows 7 x64 or later. HWiNFO has discontinued Windows XP/Vista support in HWiNFO64, with the legacy HWiNFO32 available solely in the portable package.

Version 8.0 also introduces an overhauled Auto Start mechanism to more accurately reflect the actual state. New additions include support for Aquacomputer VISION and VISION RGBpx sensors, and enhanced support for Raptor Lake-PS. Sensor monitoring has been improved on GIGABYTE Z790 and B760 series mainboards, and the update also incorporates support for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (AD103) and GeForce RTX 4060 (AD106).

Lastly, HWiNFO 8.0 addresses automatic startup issues (via a launcher) due to new OSD requirements, fixes certain bugs in OSD configuration, and rectifies AMD Hawk Point iGPU support.
