Alfred 5.5 Beta has been released with ChatGPT / DALL-E integration and new workflow views
Alfred, the popular macOS productivity app, has announced the release of its 5.5 beta version, introducing new workflow views and AI integration. The major update provides a multitude of ways to present results in Alfred, including new workflows that utilize these views. Among these is an interactive workflow with Markdown support, enabled by the integration of ChatGPT and DALL-E.
The 5.5 beta update introduces a new scriptable, editable text view with rich Markdown support, enhancing workflow capabilities. Alongside this, a fully functional ChatGPT / DALL-E integration is included, which streams the output in real time and allows for follow-up questions.
Several new workflows are introduced in Alfred 5.5 beta. These include a Grid View workflow for presenting images, files, and results in a customizable, scriptable view with an optional filter input. The Image View workflow facilitates viewing and browsing images with ease, while the PDF View workflow enables instant viewing and interaction with PDFs within Alfred.
The 5.5 beta version also introduces a File Navigation workflow, which utilizes all the new features, providing a comprehensive way to navigate and preview the file system within Alfred. Additionally, a new view in Alfred Universal Action allows immediate use of these new view features, eliminating the need for creating individual workflows.
All Alfred 5 users can access the 5.5 beta version via the in-app update. Users interested in joining the beta can select the “pre-release” option in the Update tab.
