Wine 9.21 has been released with expanded support for network sessions in DirectPlay

Wine has released version 9.21, introducing several enhancements aimed at improving compatibility and performance for Windows applications on Linux and other operating systems. Notably, this update expands support for network sessions in DirectPlay, a component of Microsoft DirectX crucial for online and multiplayer gaming.

Additionally, Wine 9.21 addresses header fixes for C++ compilation, which simplifies the process and boosts the stability of C++ applications. I/O completion fixes are also included, enhancing data processing speed and reliability. The update further supports more formats in D3DX9, part of the Direct3D extension library widely used in graphics and gaming applications, along with various bug fixes.
