Orion 129 for macOS brings automatic PiP when switching tabs and many other enhancements

Kagi has launched Orion version 129 for macOS, a WebKit-based web browser that supports web extensions from both Chrome and Firefox. This update is built on the latest WebKit 621.1.2.111.4. Key features in Orion 129 include automatic Picture in Picture (PiP) when switching tabs, a new microphone indicator, and the ability to customize the start page background. The update also expands support for colored tab chrome to vertical tabs.

Orion 129 introduces an option to automatically strip unique trackers from URLs and allows users to select a different search engine for incognito/private mode. Users can now delete incorrect suggestions in the search bar, and a new “Open in Link Preview” option has been added to programmable buttons.

This release also includes numerous enhancements and bug fixes, marking it as one of the most significant updates in Orion's development history.
