MacPaw releases major CleanMyMac update with new tools & features for cleaning up your Mac

MacPaw has launched a significant update to CleanMyMac, its comprehensive software designed to eliminate clutter on Mac devices. The updated CleanMyMac offers six main features, an intuitive assistant, and over 25 tools to address digital clutter, malware, and performance issues, aiding users in maintaining productivity with an optimized Mac.

The software combines five routines to enhance Mac performance. With Smart Care, Users can now remove duplicates, run application updates, perform deep malware scans, execute junk cleanups, and boost system performance. The Cleanup feature targets unnecessary files like cache, logs, and universal binaries, ensuring a streamlined system.

Powered by the Moonlock engine, CleanMyMac provides advanced threat detection and removal with the new Protection routine, while offering privacy enhancements by reviewing app permissions. The Performance feature allows users to manage login and background items, optimizing the system for intensive tasks.

The Applications feature serves as a management hub, enabling the uninstallation of unnecessary apps and their associated data, while also facilitating app and macOS updates. The My Clutter feature assists in decluttering by identifying and removing large, old files, duplicates, similar images, and forgotten downloads.
