KDE Plasma 6.2 brings new features for drawing tablets & improved Wayland color management

KDE has released Plasma 6.2, following its previous KDE MegaRelease 6 and 6.1 update earlier this year. This version introduces a variety of features, particularly for drawing tablet users, including a calibration wizard, test mode, screen area definition, and customizable pen button bindings. Plasma 6.2 enhances color management with improved support for the Wayland protocol, enabling consistent colors across monitors by default. It also boosts HDR and ICC profile handling, and introduces a new tone mapping feature in the KWin compositor.

Users can now manage misbehaving applications that prevent system sleep or screen locking, adjust monitor brightness individually, and utilize the Power and Battery widget for power profile adjustments. Discover, Plasma's app store, now supports postmarketOS packages, enhances app review writing, and accurately presents license information. The System Settings’ Accessibility page has been revamped, with added colorblindness filters and full “sticky keys” support on Wayland. Additional improvements and bug fixes enhance the overall look and feel of Plasma 6.2.
