Transportr 2.2 comes back to F-Droid with MapLibre library integration, and improvements

Transportr, the free and open source public transport assistant for Android, has launched version 2.2, incorporating several enhancements and new features. One of the significant changes in this update is the switch to MapLibre for the map library, which has enabled the app to return to the F-Droid app store.

In addition to the map library switch, Transportr 2.2 has introduced a feature that remembers users' preferred means of transport for future searches. It has also addressed minor issues on the 'About' page and with the time picker.

The update has also addressed regional issues. This includes fixing and re-adding regions that were previously broken, removing regions where information is no longer accessible, and deleting a lengthy list of regions that Navitia, an open API for mobility, no longer serves.
