Floorp 11.8 brings enhanced Workspaces for this privacy-focused Firefox-based web browser
Floorp, a web browser based on Firefox ESR that brings a variety of privacy-protection and customizability features, recently released version 11.8. This release comes with a revamped workspace that now functions across multiple windows, with each window being separate from the others. The workspace toolbar buttons have become movable, enabling users to place the workspace feature as per their convenience. Additionally, workspaces are now enabled by default in this version.
The design of the workspace's toolbar button's popup has been enhanced in this release. Furthermore, all restrictions on characters that can be used in workspace names have been lifted, allowing the use of all characters, including emojis and symbols.
The location of workspace settings has been changed in Floorp 11.8, with a new workspace tab added to the sidebar on the Preferences page. The technology around tabs in Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and Split View has also been updated to improve performance. PWA detection behavior has been fine-tuned to enhance accuracy.
Alongside these key updates, Floorp 11.8 also includes minor changes, improvements, and bug fixes to enhance user experience and browser efficiency.
