Dropshare Cloud to shut down on January 31 2024, focus support to popular storage services
The cloud storage service, Dropshare Cloud, exclusively available for Dropshare apps on macOS and iOS, is set to be discontinued on January 31, 2024.
Dropshare Cloud was initially launched in 2016, at a time when the Dropshare apps were compatible with only a handful of cloud storage providers. Now the app works with a wider range of platforms including Amazon S3, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box. So the company has made this decision in order to focus its support on these popular services.
This change does not affect the Dropshare apps themselves, which will continue to be available and regularly updated. However, all files will be removed from Dropshare Cloud in February 2024, and users are advised to download any necessary files before this date. Subscribers to the cloud service will be partially refunded, based on the remaining duration of their subscription.
