Opera introduces Aria, its AI assistant, to its gaming-focused web browser Opera GX
Opera has expanded the reach of its innovative artificial intelligence, Aria. Initially launched across its desktop, Android, and iOS web browsers, Aria is now available in the gaming-centric web browser, Opera GX.
Aria is designed to be a versatile digital companion, “here to answer your questions, write your code, engage in banter and help you conquer the digital realm”, according to Opera's official announcement.
One of the key features introduced alongside Aria is a new command line interface. Users can simply press CTRL + / (Windows) or CMD + / (Mac) to activate an overlay and interact directly with Aria. This enhancement aims to streamline user interaction and make it more intuitive.
Opera has also implemented a feature that allows users to highlight any text within the browser. This action triggers contextual information and prompts, creating an experience akin to having a natural conversation with the browser.
Aria's availability has expanded significantly, reaching users in more than 180 countries, including the European Union. It is now accessible in Opera GX for both Windows and macOS, as well as in the flagship Opera browser across various platforms, including Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS.
