Rockstar Games officially partners with Cfx.re team, makers of popular GTA and RDR roleplay communities

Rockstar Games has officially announced its partnership with Cfx.re, the team behind the largest Grand Theft Auto (GTA) and Red Dead Redemption (RDR) roleplay and creator communities, FiveM and RedM.

Cfx.re played a crucial role in the popularity of GTA RP, a Grand Theft Auto 5 multiplayer mode that allows players to assume new identities and roleplay on various servers, with FiveM hosting some of the largest servers such as NoPixel.

The move is in line with Rockstar's recent expansion of its policy on mods to officially include those created by the roleplay creative community. Also recent leaks suggest that the upcoming GTA 6 will incorporate its own RP elements.

However, the Cfx.re team clarified their collaboration is solely focused on FiveM and RedM, and they are not involved with the development of GTA 6. In recent times, GTA RP server developers have been prompted to remove content like branded cars and clothing to avoid potential legal issues, a trend expected to persist with Rockstar's official involvement.
