Kali Linux releases version 2023.3 with overhauled Autopilot and new tools for penetration testing

Kali Linux, the Debian-based, open-source Linux distribution, has introduced its latest version, 2023.3. This operating system is specifically designed for tasks related to information security, including penetration testing, security research, computer forensics, and reverse engineering.

The new version 2023.3 of Kali Linux brings fresh packages and tools, along with various improvements and bug fixes. Despite not being feature-rich as per the announcement by Kali, this release carries significant behind-the-scenes changes. These changes, while not directly visible to end-users, are expected to bring substantial benefits to the Kali team and indirectly improve the user experience.

Among the major updates in this version are stack changes to the internal infrastructure. The Kali Autopilot tool, a key component of the system, has undergone a complete overhaul. The revamped tool now flaunts a redesigned GUI and a multitude of new features.

In addition to these updates, Kali has unveiled a redesigned Kali NetHunter app and a brand new NetHunter Terminal. These new additions further underline Kali Linux's commitment to providing robust tools for information security tasks.
