IGN introduces AI Chatbot for game troubleshooting and progression assistance, begins testing with Zelda guide

The gaming website IGN is introducing an AI tool, the IGN Guides Chatbot, designed to assist users with troubleshooting and game progression. The tool is currently being tested with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom guide.

Users signed into their IGN account can utilize the chat window at the bottom of the Guides page to ask questions about the game. The chatbot utilizes the information from the IGN Guide and uses natural language processing to provide specific answers to users' questions.

Currently in its alpha release testing phase, it sources information from guides, tips, and other content available on the IGN site, as well as insights from contributors' gameplay. The company sees this feature as a comprehensive search solution, providing immediate answers without the need for users to navigate through multiple pages.
