Haruna video player releases version 0.12 with new features and enhancements

Haruna, an open-source video player developed with libmpv for the KDE desktop environment, has launched version 0.12, introducing a range of new features and enhancements. The new version now includes a preview thumbnail to the progress bar, a setting to permit only a single instance, and an action selection popup for searching and triggering available actions.

Other new features include a setting for auto-resizing the window to the video resolution, a setting to hide the playlist toolbar, and a separate menu item for each settings page under the settings menu. The update also introduces a “Scroll to playing item” entry and an “Open URL” entry to the playlist context menu for online URLs.

Further improvements include animated hiding/showing of the menubar, top toolbar, and bottom toolbar, and a previously identified bug has also been resolved in this update.
