Instapaper enhances Organizing and Sorting Tools across platforms and improves Siri and Shortcuts integration

Instapaper recently announced a series of upgrades to its Organizing and Sorting Tools on iOS, macOS, and web platforms. The enhancements include reordering articles by drag-and-drop, maintaining sorting preferences between sessions, and a revamped article list menu mirroring iOS and macOS system menus. The swipe action options and the long press gesture on Instapaper for iOS have been updated, allowing users to customize swipe actions through the settings.

The platform has also introduced 'Save to Folder' email addresses, enabling users to send articles directly to an Instapaper email address, and enhanced its integration with Siri, Search, and Shortcuts by introducing new “intents” for opening the last read article or a specific folder.

Other updates include a 'Shake to Undo' feature to recover archived articles, link previews on long press, and fixes for stability issues such as crashes when highlighting on iOS 17 and certain macOS crashes.
