Apple launches Vision Pro Developer Kits for app development on visionOS

Apple has announced the release of Apple Vision Pro developer kits, with applications for these kits now open. The kit includes an Apple Vision Pro “loaner” device, which developers can use to create and test apps for the visionOS operating system.

Apple will provide assistance to developers in setting up the device and in the onboarding process. To apply for the kit, developers must be Account Holders in the Apple Developer Program and provide information about their team’s development skills and existing apps. They must also agree to the terms and conditions set by Apple.

The applications will undergo a review process, with priority being given to those creating an app that utilizes the features and capabilities of visionOS. However, the Apple Vision Pro device provided is not for keeps and must be returned to Apple upon their request.
