Tutanota updates its plans with more email alias addresses, more features and more storage

German-based email service Tuta Mail has announced new paid plans with added features and storage. The end-to-end encrypted email service, which has no ads or tracking, has kept its premium prices unchanged since launching in 2015, but is now updating its paid plans. The prices for existing subscribers will not change.

Tutanota is introducing a “Revolutionary” plan at 3€ per month, and a “Legendary” plan at 8€ per month. The company previously offered a paid plan at only 1€ a month, but it says it is not able to keep offering it for new users. The personal plans come with more email alias addresses, features, and storage.

For business plans, Tutanota offers three plans, starting at 6€ a month, up to 12€ a month with 1 To of storage, unlimited calendars and custom domains, priority support, and more.

To make switching to the new plans easier for existing users (which is completely voluntary), Tutanota is offering a one-time 50% discount. The company says the price increase is due to a more competitive employment landscape and the addition of many new features in recent years.
