Gandi to end free GandiMail service and introduce new pricing policy

Gandi.net, the domain name registrar and web hosting provider founded in 2000, has announced that it will be ending its free GandiMail service included with any domain. In an email to its users, the company stated that the service will end on November 30th, 2023, and that users can seamlessly convert to the new (and paid) Mailbox service, which will start at €4.79 per month.

In its FAQ, Gandi said, “If you do not take actions regarding your included mailboxes, we will suspend your GandiMail service. You will have the possibility to unlock your mailbox by converting to the improved MailBox from July 13th.”

The company has also announced that it will introduce updates to its pricing policy effective July 13th, 2023, for all its existing services and the new Mailbox service. This means that users will have to pay more for their existing services or the new Mailbox service.
