Amazon shuts down DPReview after 25 years of operation

DPReview.com, the digital photography community, will close on April 10 as announced by Amazon, the company behind the site. DPReview has been a great source of information and support for photographers around the world for the past 25 years. And in response to this news, developers are trying to protect the crowdsourced data by creating new similar websites such as Digicam Finder and DPRevived . Digicam Finder is an archive of photography information generated by the community with information on more than 2,500 cameras in the database. DPRevived has taken in over 2,000 DPReview forum members since the shutdown announcement.
