Mozilla launches Solo, an AI-powered website builder for solopreneurs

Mozilla has unveiled a new initiative under the Mozilla Innovation Project, called Solo. This is an AI-powered website builder designed specifically for solopreneurs. Solo operates by gathering basic information about your business or taking cues from your existing website or Yelp page. It then uses AI to create a website, which can be further personalized and published.

Solo is designed for a broad range of users, including those running a side business, those interested in experimenting with generative AI, or those looking to work with AI-generated websites.

This is an initial iteration of Solo, and Mozilla has indicated that future updates will include the ability to configure custom domains, among other features. You can try Solo for free here, and don't hesitate to let us know what you think about this new tool in the comments.

Solo is a platform designed to swiftly create visually appealing websites to expand your business. It competes in the same space as Webflow, Squarespace, and Weebly. Its functionality allows for the creation of websites without the necessity of coding knowledge.
