Geekbench ML 0.6 now supports macOS, Windows, and Linux, and comes with new workloads
Geekbench LM, a cross-platform AI benchmark tool, has announced the release of version 0.6. Developed by the same team behind the well-known Geekbench software, Geekbench ML 0.6 introduces several enhancements in the testing methodology to provide a more precise measurement of real-world performance.
In addition to the improvements, this version extends its support to three new platforms: macOS, Windows, and Linux. This expansion allows users to evaluate the performance of machine learning-powered tasks on various devices, including desktops, laptops, and servers, regardless of their AI-specific hardware.
Geekbench ML 0.6 ensures consistency in performance evaluation by using identical models and data sets across all supported platforms. This uniformity allows for a fair comparison of scores. The software leverages newer and superior frameworks that accommodate more current models and offer faster performance on newer hardware.
To mirror the tasks executed by your apps and software more accurately, Geekbench ML 0.6 incorporates three new workloads: Depth Estimation, Style Transfer, and Image Super-Resolution. Looking ahead, Geekbench ML 1.0 is slated for release in 2024.
