BeReal unveils four new features: BTS, RealGroups, Tagging, and Your 2023 Recap

BeReal, the social media platform known for its unique feature of allowing users to share only one photo per day, has unveiled four new features for the holidays.

The first of these is “BTS” (Behind The Scenes). This feature captures the moments leading up to the capture of your daily BeReal photo, creating a video that plays when friends view your BeReal on their timeline and hold down on it. This provides a more immersive context to the shared image by letting friends see and hear what was happening around you at the time of the photo.

Next is “RealGroups”, a feature that lets users create private groups to share their BeReal with selected friends or family members. However, there is a limitation: users can only have two RealGroups at any given time.

The third feature is “Tagging”. This allows users to tag friends in their BeReal. Additionally, this feature enables users to repost content they are tagged in, allowing them to share it with their friends even if they missed the original post.

Lastly, BeReal has introduced “Your 2023 Recap”. This feature provides a custom experience where users can record and share their recap anywhere they choose, including on their BeReal profile. This offers a unique way to look back on the year, capturing and sharing key moments.
