Firefox 120 released with new privacy features and improved Picture-in-Picture
Mozilla has unveiled Firefox 120, introducing several new privacy features, an enhanced Picture-in-Picture (PiP) function, and more. Notably, the new version includes a “Copy Link Without Site Tracking” feature in the context menu, eliminating tracking information from copied links.
Firefox 120 also introduces a Global Privacy Control setting, accessible via Preferences Privacy & Security. This opt-in feature enables Firefox to inform websites that the user does not want their data shared or sold.
Furthering its commitment to privacy, Firefox 120 enhances the Canvas APIs in private windows and its Enhanced Tracking Protection (ETP)-Strict privacy configuration with Fingerprinting Protection.
For improved user experience, the PiP function now supports corner snapping on Windows and Linux. Users can simply hold Ctrl while moving the PiP window. Firefox 120 also includes other modifications, enhancements, and various security fixes.
