Distrobox 1.6.0 released with Lilipod support and improved NVIDIA integration

Distrobox, a unique tool designed to enable the operation of any Linux distribution within your terminal, has announced the release of its 1.6.0 version. This latest update includes support for Lilipod, improved integration with NVIDIA, particularly for CUDA, as well as a range of general enhancements to the init process and user's shell handling.

In addition, version 1.6.0 has improved the functionality of rootful containers by ensuring the proper setup of user passwords for sudo. This update has also expanded the capabilities of initful containers, which now support OpenRC when available. Furthermore, initful containers will now also benefit from a proper systemd user session.
