Desktop environment LXQt releases version 1.4.0 with several enhancements and bug fixes

LXQt, the lightweight Qt desktop environment, has rolled out its version 1.4.0, built on Qt 5.15, the final LTS version of Qt5. A key update in this release is the introduction of lxqt-menu-data, which is set to replace lxmenu-data where required.

The file manager and library of LXQt have undergone several enhancements. Users can now add the command for the default terminal. The split view state is now considered when restoring tabs from the last window. For PCManFM-Qt, an SVG icon has been added. The mount dialog will now remember password and anonymity settings. Other code improvements and bug fixes have also been implemented.

QTerminal, LXQt's terminal emulator, now offers audible bell as an optional feature. The LXQt image viewer has been upgraded with minimal support for color spaces. Issues related to urgency checking/clearing and window cycling with the mouse wheel in LXQt Panel's task bar have been addressed.

Lastly, LXQt 1.4.0 also includes updated translations, additional changes, and bug fixes.
