Calibre 7.0 has been released with new note storage feature and improved e-book viewer

Calibre, the renowned free and open-source e-book management software, has announced the release of its version 7.0, a significant update following the launch of Calibre 6.0 last year. The latest version introduces an array of new features, most notably the ability to store notes associated with authors, series, publishers, tags, and more.

These notes can contain links, images, and rich text formatting, offering a comprehensive information management solution for users. Furthermore, these notes are searchable, browsable, linkable, and can be exported as standalone HTML files, providing a versatile tool for organizing and accessing e-book related data.

In addition to the notes feature, Calibre 7.0 has enhanced its e-book viewer with support for HTML image maps. Improvements have also been made to the content server, further optimizing the software's performance.

The new release also incorporates a variety of minor new features and enhancements, along with a series of bug fixes, continuing Calibre's commitment to providing a robust and reliable e-book management platform.
