DALL·E can now be accessed without a waitlist

As of September 28th, 2022, anyone that signs up for the DALL-E beta can instantly gain access to it without having to process a waitlist.

DALL·E 2 distributor OpenAI announced this change to its signup process via its official blog. Alongside this announcement, OpenAI shared statistics about the AI text-to-image generator:

• More than 1.5M users are now actively creating over 2M images a day with DALL·E • Over 100,000 users have shared their creations and feedback in OpenAI's Discord community

To prepare for removing the waiting requirement to sign up for DALL·E, OpenAI has spent the past several months refining filters to reject graphic, violent, sexual, and other obscene content that violates the service's content policy. New detection and response mechanisms have been implemented to combat misuse of the platform.

In addition to removing the waitlist, OpenAI is currently testing DALL·E's API in order to prepare it for businesses and developers to utilize in app development.
