Facebook's video and TV show-on-demand service Facebook Watch is now available around the world.

Facebook announced on Twitter (and its official newsroom) that the social network's video-focused Facebook Watch service will be rolling out worldwide.

Facebook's Head of Video, Fidji Simo, described that the company has devoted the past year since Facebook Watch launched exclusively in the United States to making the service "more social." This includes making it so users can see what videos and shows their friends have liked and shared on the social network. Simo also boasts an increase in time spent viewing video content in Facebook Watch by 14 times. Other than that statistic alongside one that describes 50 million people in the U.S. viewing content via Watch for "at least a minute," viewership statistics are scarce.

Alongside this worldwide launch for Facebook Watch, Facebook is expanding its reach for content providers to the world stage alongside its Ad Breaks program and more robust toolset in the service's Creator Studio.

Facebook has designed Watch to be viewed optimally on various devices and operating systems, including Apple TV, Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Xbox One, and Oculus TV.
