Updated Google News layout launched
Google has rolled out its updated design for its News section with one of the most dramatic redesigns of its 15-year history. This design has rolled out to 127 countries as of the time of this writing.
As the Google Blog showcased back on May 8th, Google News' new design incorporates artificial intelligence-based real time analysis and organization of news curated from several sources in the way it perceives as best for individual users based on the data Google has curated about their interests and preferences. The announcement blog post also claims that this AI-based curation will only improve as users use the site via desktop and dedicated mobile applications.
The updated Google News is designed to completely replace Google Play Newsstand, though the latter is still accessible as of the time of this post's publication.
