    too big, slow, and complicated by comparison to Jing. Camtasia is a full video editing package and is very slow at saving videos as it has slow post-processing; whereas Jing encodes as it goes and saves the video immediately.

    I tried this and if it does do video capture it is well hidden. Screen capture is as basic as it gets, press print screen.

    For stills, Lightshot is a great drop-in replacement for Jing. The same quick, easy ability to draw boxes, add text, copy to clipboard, or save your image are all present. Additional annotation tools and an option to automatically downscale retina displays are actually making me like LightShot more than I liked Jing!
